The 67th annual Cabarrus County Fair happens Sept. 6-14 at the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center.

Full of family-friendly entertainment and events, the fair features more than 40 rides on the Midway, a petting zoo, pig races, live music, performances from a chainsaw carving artist and more.
And don't forget the food! Onsite vendors will offer fair favorites like cotton candy, funnel cakes, turkey legs, roasted corn and more.
The Cabarrus Arena & Events Center is at 4759 N.C. Hwy. 49 North in Concord. If you're using your GPS use 4551 Old Airport Road.
Hours are 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday; 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday; and 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
Admission prices at the gate are $8 for ages 12 and older; $5 for kids ages 6-11; $5 for seniors (ages 55 and older) and military with ID. (Sales tax included.) Kids age 5 and younger are admitted free.
Rides cost additional and pricing varies. Four (4) ride tickets cost $5 or you can purchase a sheet of 22 tickets for $20. A wristband for unlimited rides costs $25. Rides require three to six tickets.
Ways to save
Monday, Sept. 9 - Admission costs $5 for ages 12 and older and $3 for kids ages 6-11. Ride wristbands cost $20.
Tuesday, Sept. 10 - Admission costs $4 for Family Fun Night.
Thursday, Sept. 12 - Seniors 55 and older will be admitted for free from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Fridays, Sept. 6 and Sept. 13 - Bring your high school football ticket stub after the game to get free admission.
(Just remember, rides are not included with admission.)
