Hot air balloon flights are scheduled twice daily -- in the early morning and late afternoon -- and the traditional Balloon Glow will light up Friday and Saturday nights.
In addition, there will be live music, a wine and craft beer garden featuring North Carolina brewers and vintners, family-friendly activities and other attractions.
The new Your704 show is your go-to guide for the best restaurants, bars and entertainment across the Queen City. You can watch episodes here or by downloading the WSOC-TV app on your Roku, Amazon Fire and Apple TV.
Festival hours are 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday, 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Advance tickets range from $10-$20 and children age 12 and younger are admitted free.
Hot air balloon rides can be purchased directly with participating pilots in advance or throughout the weekend. Tethered balloons, offering an abbreviated sensation of flight for kids and adults, will also be available. Rides are available to purchase the day of event, weather permitting.
The festival is expected to sell out.
