The new AMC Park Terrace 6 opened Friday at Park Road Shopping Center.
The movie theater, which was last owned by Regal Cinemas, was a Charlotte mainstay for over a half-century before closing in 2017.
Last year it was announced that AMC Theatres would reopen the theater at the popular location.

AMC representatives say the renovated AMC Park Terrace 6 features new amenities like plush recliners, an expanded food and beverage menu, and ticketless entry, along with some of the theater’s most beloved trademarks, like the iconic “Park Terrace” marquee.
The enhanced food and beverage menu includes pretzel bites, stone-fired flat bread pizza and gluten-free snacks.

In addition, new movie screens, speakers and sound systems have been installed.
The AMC MacGuffins adult beverage concept, which offers beer, wine and premium cocktails for moviegoers age 21 and up, will also be available soon.
