South Carolina State Fair offers lots of fall fun

Each October, people of all ages head to Columbia for the South Carolina State Fair, the Palmetto State's largest event.

The 2018 S.C. State Fair runs Oct. 10-21 and offers a variety of family-oriented entertainment – enjoy mouth-watering food, thrill rides, crafts and art, concerts and more.

This year's Grandstand concert lineup includes Bret Michaels (Oct. 12), Trace Adkins (Oct. 15), Fantasia (Oct. 16), The Temptations and the Four Tops (Oct. 17), Scotty McCreery (Oct. 18), and Matthew West and Jeremy Camp (Oct. 19).

Tickets to Trace Adkins and Fantasia are $20 and include fair admission. Tickets to Scotty McCreery, Bret Michaels, The Temptations and the Four Tops, and Matthew West and Jeremy Camp are $15 and include fair admission.

Fair tickets purchased at the gate cost $10. Children age 5 and under are admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult. Click here for more information on admission and ride tickets.

The S.C. State Fairgrounds are located at Rosewood Drive and George Rogers Boulevard across from Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia.
