More than 1,300 Special Olympics athletes are expected to compete in track and field, softball, swimming and other events during the 2019 Special Olympics Mecklenburg County Spring Games on April 11 and April 24 through May 1.
Roughly 800 volunteers and 150 coaches will support Spring Games events at Bojangles’ Coliseum, Charlotte Country Day School, Mecklenburg County Aquatics Center, Hough High School and Huntersville Family Fitness & Aquatics Center.
2019 marks the 36th year Charlotte Country Day School has hosted the Special Olympics Mecklenburg County Spring Games.
All events are free and open to the public, including the ppening peremony at Bojangles’ Coliseum on Monday, April 29. Parking is free at all Spring Games events.
