CHARLOTTE, N.C. — This year a record of 25,753 coats were donated to Steve’s Coats for Kids.
Student David Beckham brought Channel 9 a total of 195 coats. He collected them at his school, Pine Lake Preparatory, with the help of dad.
“For every five coats donated at our school, my dad’s company would help and he would pay for a new coat for every five coats,” said Beckham.
Every year, all the used coats received are sent straight to Cintas where they do whatever they need to make them good as new.
