FORECAST: Warm start to the weekend, possible storms for mountains

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — SATURDAY: Partly cloudy skies Saturday morning. Highs in low 90s. Not quite as hot as it has been but a little above average.

STORM THREAT: Low storm threat for Charlotte metro area. Best chance is for the mountains. Storms that do develop could have heavy rain and lightning.

SUNDAY: Nicer of the two weekend days. Dry conditions, highs in the upper 80s.

NEXT RAIN CHANCE: Rain chances building for Monday and Tuesday with threat for some stronger storms.
