LOS ANGELES — Charlotte native Steph Curry took home the ESPY award Wednesday night for Best Record-Breaking Performance.
The reigning two-time NBA MVP won the award after breaking his own record for most 3-pointers in a season for the Golden State Warriors.
Curry was also up for Best Male Athlete, in a category that included Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, however both lost out to Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James.
Newton did take home the ESPY for Best NFL Player.
