ESPN reported that the Patriots have bought two Boeing 767 wide-body jets. They are the first NFL team to buy their own planes to fly to games.
Airlines are in the process of retiring the bigger planes, which are near a point at which they require more money to meet current Federal Aviation Administration requirements, making them cost-prohibitive

The team confirmed the news on Twitter.
