FORT WORTH, Texas — Being sidelined with a concussion from any NASCAR action didn’t stop Dale Earnhardt Jr. from trying to get pole position on his way to the Texas Motor Speedway.
The popular race car driver was pulled over by police for speeding Sunday morning.
Amy Riemann, Earnhardt's fiancee, shared a photo of the stop on Twitter.
"My little speed racer," she wrote.
Earnhardt started experiencing concussion-like symptoms in July. He said in September he would miss the rest of the season. While not racing, he still does appearances at the track.
Earnhardt was let off with a warning, according to Riemann's post. She did not say how fast they were going.
