CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A 70-year-old woman Friday morning after she was hit Thursday by a car in Cotswold, police said.
Officers said Barbara Sutton was hit Thursday afternoon on South Sharon Amity Road near Providence Road.
A preliminary investigation showed a Mercedes-Benz station wagon was approaching the intersection when Sutton darted across the road. The right front of the car hit Sutton and the driver of the vehicle stopped immediately, according to authorities.
Police said speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash. They said Sutton was not crossing the road in a crosswalk.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Detective Gormican at 704-432-2169.
