UNC-Chapel Hill reports COVID-19 cluster; football team pauses workouts

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — UNC has conducted 429 COVID-19 tests since welcoming back student-athletes, coaches and athletic staff to campus on June 1, WTVD reported.

Of those, 37 have tested positive.

As a precaution, the UNC football team will pause voluntary workouts for at least a week and will resume later. The Orange County Health Department identified a cluster, defined as five or more cases, according to UNC.
