CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two dogs died Monday morning in an east Charlotte house fire.
The fire started around 10:30 a.m. on the ground floor of a house in the 3800 block of Hillock Court.
The homeowner was not home, authorities said.
Twenty-three firefighters worked to control the fire, which caused $50,000 worth of damages in 16 minutes.
