STANLY COUNTY, N.C. — Troopers were investigating a deadly crash involving a motorcycle Tuesday morning in Stanly County.
The wreck happened around 8:30 a.m. on Highway 205 near Peachtree Road, in front of Bright Beginnings Daycare, north of Oakboro.
North Carolina Highway Patrol troopers said three vehicles were involved. A 2012 Hyundai was traveling northbound on N.C. 205. It tried to turn left and failed to yield.
The motorcycle rider, identified as Richard Wolk of Marshville, collided with the Hyundai and was ejected. He was then hit by a 2012 Chevy passenger car.
Troopers said the driver of the Hyundai, Tamra Rowe of Oakboro, was charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
