ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A Highway Patrol trooper used a PIT maneuver Tuesday to end a chase in Rowan County, police said.
Officials said speeds reached up to 140 mph during the pursuit.
Tyson Jackson, of Charlotte, sped away from the trooper on Interstate 85 near Webb Road when the trooper initiated the tactic to stop the driver.
Jackson's vehicle crashed into the guard rail but he was not seriously injured, officials said.
