MATTHEWS, N.C. — A busy road in Matthews was shut down early Thursday morning because of a truck fire.
Firefighters were called to John Street around 4 a.m. and the burned out tractor was still in the road two hours later.
John Street was blocked in both directions between Trade Street and Interstate 485 until a tow truck could get the tractor out of the way.
