HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Police are searching for two suspects after a convenience store clerk was shot during an armed robbery early Friday morning in Huntersville.

Authorities said that around 4 a.m., two people walked into the 7-Eleven on Mount Holly-Huntersville Road near W.T. Harris Boulevard and robbed the store clerk and a customer at gunpoint.
Investigators told Channel 9 that one of the robbers then shot the clerk in the leg before leaving.
That store clerk was taken to the hospital but will be OK.
The manager of the store told Channel 9 that the clerk is a grandfather in his late 60s.
No suspect description has been released.
