CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. — Deputies in Cabarrus County are investigating after a man and his wife were found dead inside their home Tuesday afternoon.
A man called police after he found his parents dead in the home on Flowes Store Road around 1:40 p.m.
Investigators identified the couple as 85-year-old Robert Campbell and his wife, 83-year-old Irene Campbell. It is being treated as a murder-suicide.
Cabarrus County Sheriff Brad Riley said it does not appear anyone was involved in the deaths.
"All preliminary indications and information gathered at the scene indicate that no third party was involved in the deaths," Riley said. "There were also no indications of struggle or foul play."
