CONCORD, N.C. — Concord police said a Silver Alert has been canceled after a 15-year-old was found safe.
Police said Lewis William Flowers was in Union County with friends.
The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons had issued a Silver Alert for Flowers Saturday morning.
Flowers was previously last seen in the 400 block of Riverwalk Drive Northwest in Concord.
Flowers is believed to have a cognitive impairment, officials said.
Officials had said Flowers’ direction of travel was unknown, but Charlotte was a possible destination. Police said Flowers has friends in the NoDa neighborhood and has been known to frequent the area. He's been found there in the past when he's left home, officials said.
Flowers is described as black, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 140 pounds. He has black, medium-length hair and brown eyes.
