CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Shots were fired Saturday night at the Charlotte Fair on Statesville Road, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police told Channel 9.
The shots were fired around 9 p.m. and officials evacuated the grounds. Reporter DaShawn Brown was on the scene late Saturday night and broke the news on Twitter.

The fair was scheduled to close at 11 p.m. Police said no one was injured.
Several people reached out to Channel 9 through social media to report what happened at the fair.
