CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating after someone fired several shots into an east Charlotte home around 1 a.m. Tuesday.
Officers were called to Erskine Drive, near Shamrock Road and The Plaza.
No one inside the home was hurt.

Channel 9 saw several evidence markers on the scene pointing to shell casings on the road. Police have also said they obtained a search warrant in order to search the home and get more information in the case.

Officers have not said what they are looking for, what led up to the shooting or if anyone is in custody.
