Several seniors, parents in Gastonia rally for in-person graduations

GASTONIA, N.C. — Several graduating seniors and their parents in Gastonia are making a late plea to hold an in-person graduation ceremony.

Channel 9 watched the crowd slowly assemble in the parking lot of our news partners at the Gaston Gazette. The group hopes that administrators take notice before abbreviated graduations start Monday.

Members of the group said they had reached out to their schools, talked to administrators and called school board members.
