SALISBURY, N.C. — Salisbury police are busy investigating four shootings that happened within 24 hours, and are trying to find those responsible.
The crimes happened within miles of each other but investigators said they aren’t yet sure if any of the shootings are related.
The shooting spree started around 4 a.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of West C Avenue. City officials said someone broke into a house and shot a man several times.
He was flown to the hospital, but officials had not released his condition.
A short time later, just two miles away, someone shot a man several times on West Bank Street.
Around 6:30 p.m., on East Fisher Street, a 16-year-old was shot, and few miles away from that incident someone was shot while pulling into their driver on North Long Street.
Police are planning to share more information during a news conference at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Channel 9 reporter Tina Terry will be at the news conference to gather more information, and to ask if these shootings could be gang-related.
