A man in Granite Falls is accused of attempted murder after a pregnant woman fell from a hotel balcony in Myrtle Beach. Police said the women fell after she had gotten into an argument with the accused man, Jeffery McGuire.
McGuire told police that during the argument, he tried to get the woman to stop hitting him by hugging her, and while she struggled to get away, she slipped and fell, police said.
After the incident, she was taken to the hospital and has now been released, according to police.
