CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are looking for whoever shot three people at an adult club in north Charlotte overnight.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were called to Candi's Cabaret on Statesville Avenue just after 1:30 a.m. and found three people suffering from gunshot wounds.
One was shot in the leg, another in the side and the other in the back, according to police.
Investigators told Channel 9 that they were looking for three or four men after at least one of them started shooting behind a door on the patio of the club.

Channel 9 was the first station on the scene, and could see paramedics checking out one of the victims and another victim being brought out on a stretcher.
Detectives said the three customers were shot after an argument inside the club and that two of them were in serious condition. No workers were hurt.
One victim was actually brought back to the club by police in his hospital scrubs to pick up his car. He told Channel 9 he had no idea why he was shot.

Police told Channel 9 that other than this shooting, they haven't had many issues at the club.
"It's changed its name a few times,” said CMPD Lt. Spencer Cochran. “It has been kind of quiet here. A few disturbance calls. The guys working here say there aren't many issues here during the evening hours, which is a good thing."

CMPD is looking over surveillance video from inside the club and interviewing the workers.
Channel 9 spoke with the club's manager on the phone, who said he is cooperating with police. Guns are not allowed inside Candi's Cabaret and when Channel 9 asked how someone was able to bring a gun inside, the owner would not comment.
