HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Huntersville police are investigating child sexual assault allegations against a dance teacher, the police department said in a news release.
Steven Edgar "Eddie" Mabry, 51, of Huntersville is accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old child at the time of the first assault.
Mabry was 44 years old at that time.
The victim, who is now an adult, came forward and said the assault happened at Mabry's home.
The victim took dance lessons from Mabry starting at 7 years old, in Fort Mill at Eddie Mabry Talent, then later worked for Mabry.
Mabry was arrested and charged with statutory sexual offense against a person who is 13, 14 or 15 years old by a defendant who is at least six years older than the victim and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
