Pilot uninjured in hard landing at Monroe Airport; plane badly damaged

MONROE, N.C. — A small plane was badly damaged in a hard landing at the Monroe Airport Monday night.

Officials said the pilot went slightly off the runway when he tried to land the plane.

The landing gear and wing of the plane were damaged.

Authorities said the pilot was uninjured in the incident.
