Troopers identify woman struck, killed by SUV while refueling vehicle on I-77

YORK COUNTY, S.C. — A woman was struck and killed Sunday morning while refueling her vehicle on I-77 south in York County, according to the Highway Patrol and the Rock Hill Herald.

A 78-year-old man was driving an SUV on the interstate when his vehicle went off the side of the road and hit the legally parked 2008 Kia on the side of the road, killing the Brown.

York County Coroner Sabrina Gast later identified the victim as 25-year-old Vawnsheria Brown from Great Falls.

No other injuries were reported.

Officials say the crash is still under investigation.
