CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police had to block a busy southwest Charlotte road early Monday morning after a pedestrian was hit by a SUV and sent to the hospital.
The collision happened around 8:30 a.m. on Woodlawn Road, near Nations Crossing.
Paramedics rushed the pedestrian to Carolinas Medical Center with serious injuries.
Police have not said what led to the collision or if the driver was facing charges.
