LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. (AP) — Cam Newton's offseason routine took one wet turn last week.
The NFL MVP played water polo for his new reality show "All In With Cam Newton" airing on Nickelodeon later this year. The show features Newton helping children make their dreams come true.
Newton posted a picture to his Instagram account on Monday that showed the star quarterback for the Carolina Panthers winding up for a shot at the USA Water Polo facility in Los Alamitos, California.
The picture delighted the water polo community, with U.S. star Maggie Steffens wondering on Twitter if Newton was ready for the Olympics this summer and doubting his ability to score on U.S. goaltender Ashleigh Johnson.
Newton threw for 3,837 yards and 35 touchdowns last season, helping Carolina reach the Super Bowl.
