GASTONIA, N.C. — Crates behind the Walmart in Franklin Square in Gastonia caught on fire Thursday afternoon.
The fire did not threaten the structure but viewers contacted Channel 9 about seeing a lot of black smoke.
Since the crates were stacked, firefighters used a ladder truck to extinguish the flames.
There were no injuries or further damage reported.
