LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — A man was taken to the hospital after a truck overturned Tuesday morning on Highway 321 in Lincoln County.
State troopers told reporter Dave Faherty that the crash happened in the northbound lanes near mile marker 20.
The truck driver said he heard a popping sound and then he lost control of the truck, overturning into the cable median.
The passenger was thrown from the vehicle and taken to CaroMont Regional Medical Center with serious injuries, troopers said.
Officials shut down a northbound lane while they investigated.
