LANCASTER COUNTY, S.C. — The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man accused of robbing the Buford Express Mart on Friday morning at the intersection of Pageland Highway and Rocky River Road Friday morning.
Joshua Duane Smith, 35, was charged with armed robbery.

He was holding the gun with a left-handed grip, officials said. His face was not covered. He pointed the gun at the clerk and demanded money, police said.

He left the store with cash and cigarettes.
The man was driving a gold four-door Toyota Tundra pickup with a black cover over the bed.

The man left the store and headed north on Highway 522. The clerk was the only person in the store. No shots were fired, and no one was injured.
