CONCORD, N.C. — Officials said a SWAT standoff that lasted more than eight hours ended peacefully overnight after federal marshals served a probation warrant on a Concord man.
Police told Channel 9 that the man, whose name has not been released, would not come out of his home on Waterford Drive in the Sheffield Manor neighborhood around 4 p.m. Thursday.
The Concord SWAT team was then called to the home, which led to the standoff.
There was another man inside the home at the time and officials said they aren't sure why he didn't come out, and are looking into possible charges against that man as well.

The two men eventually came out of the house just after midnight and were taken into custody, while marshals seized money and other evidence from the home.
Officers told Channel 9 that the man was "heavily armed" and there was a strong smell of marijuana from the home.
No one was injured.
