Wilson was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators said Wilson tried to force his way into an apartment and then got into a fight with someone inside.
He then was stabbed multiple times by the person inside the apartment.
Police have not said if it was a robbery attempt but said Wilson was trying to get into an apartment that wasn't his.
Neighbors told Channel 9 that they’re concerned Wilson wasn’t acting alone.
"When we have to come home and it’s a frightening experience because you don't know if they got all parties involved,” said one neighbor.
Detectives are working to determine if there was a relationship between Wilson and the people inside the apartment.
