LANCASTER, S.C. — A 26-year-old mother and her 5-year-old child were seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday in a Lancaster Walmart parking lot, police said.
The vehicle struck the two as they crossed the main driving lane at the store on Highway 9 Bypass West. The driver then hit a vehicle that stopped for the mother and daughter.
The driver stopped and was taken to the hospital and was in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
