MORGANTON, NC — Firefighters battled a blaze in a Morganton business building Thursday morning. They were called to 1578 US Hwy 70 West around 6:15 a.m.
A picture showed smoke and flames pouring from one side of the building.
Firefighters said the business - which used to be a restaurant - has caught fire twice in the past.
Hwy 70 was shut down for emergency vehicles. Officials said the building was for lease, and not currently occupied.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
