LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — The body of a missing Lincoln County man was found in a parked truck near Hill’s Chapel Church, deputies said.
Officials said 57-year-old Michael Todd Hinsey, of Denver, was in the truck parked in a grove of trees behind the church and hidden from view on South NC 16 Business Highway.
Hinsey was reported missing Dec. 28 by his son. Officials said the last time he was seen alive was Dec. 26, when he left home in a truck that belonged to his employer, deputies said.
Detectives said Hinsey’s cause of death will be determined by an autopsy in Winston-Salem.
