LYMAN, S.C. — A gunman at a South Carolina nightclub was stopped after a man with a concealed weapons permit shot him, WLOS reported.
Jody Ray Thompson, 32, got into an argument at Playoffz Night Club in Lyman before firing several rounds toward the crowd, hitting three people, deputies said.
A fourth person who was nearly hit pulled out his own gun and shot Thompson in the leg. That man who was defending himself had a valid concealed weapons permit and does not face charges.
Thompson, of Lyman, was charged with four counts of attempted murder, along with other charges, WLOS reported.
None of the injuries the victims suffered appear to be life threatening.
