CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A suspect in the 2014 killing of a Lake Wylie couple took a plea deal Tuesday and could be sentenced to life in prison.
Eyewitness News was inside a federal courtroom when Nehemijel Houston pleaded guilty to one count of racketeering and conspiracy with the underlying crime of first-degree murder.

Prosecutors said he was one of 12 gang members who conspired to kill Doug and Debbie London to stop Doug London from testifying in a robbery case.
With the plea deal, Houston admitted his affiliation with the United Blood Network Gang.
Houston's attorneys would not comment.
