CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A senior at East Mecklenburg High School who was killed in February at a party was shot four times, according to the results of an autopsy.
Chris Allen, 18, was shot at a party on Kelford Lane. He was rushed to the hospital where he died.
"He was bleeding out. There was nothing I could do," Allen's friend told Channel 9.
An autopsy found that he was shot four times, twice in the chest and twice in the arm.
Multiple teenagers told Channel 9 that they were at a house on Kelford Lane for a bonfire with Allen, a well-liked football player. A group of people who were unknown to the partygoers showed up.
Witnesses said Allen began to argue with one of the boys in the group. Allen asked about some belongings that disappeared. Then, about five gunshots rang out.
“Literally [the shooter] was just shooting over and over and over again, and I just went deaf," said Allen's friend.

Friends of the high school senior said they don't know why anyone would shoot him.
"At first I was heartbroken, like, so hurt, but now it's just like, how could he do that? It's not right, it's not OK," friend Catie Alford said.
Allen was set to graduate in four months.
“Honestly, he was a really genuine type guy,” said one of Allen’s friends, who opened up only to Channel 9 about seeing his friend get shot and killed.
Police said they have a person of interest in this case, but have not announced any arrests.
“I don’t want my friend to die in vain,” a classmate told Channel 9.
Allen’s death became CMPD’s 12th homicide; an average of one homicide every four days.
