CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are searching for four men who shot a man Tuesday morning while he was sitting in a car outside of a Walmart in west Charlotte.
Officers were called around 2 a.m. to Wilkinson Boulevard.
Witnesses described hearing a pop sound and then saw people running from the area.

Police said the man was shot in the face and taken to Carolinas Medical Center. He is expected to be OK.
Officers set up a perimeter around the area and sent a K-9 unit out trying to track the men, but no arrests have been made.
Investigators haven’t said if the victim and suspects knew each other or what the motive was in the case.
