CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police were investigating an overnight shooting in the parking lot of the CVS pharmacy in South End.
The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. on South Boulevard.
Investigators told Channel 9 that the victim and a friend had just come out of the Stache House Bar and Lounge and were getting into their car in the CVS parking lot when someone shot him.
Paramedics rushed him to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police said the shooter drove away and they could not provide a description of the vehicle.
Channel 9 is checking with police to find out if the incident may have been captured on surveillance cameras.
