CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man died from a gunshot wound Sunday morning on Brookshire Boulevard, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said.
A CMPD officer was driving around 6 a.m. on Brookshire Boulevard near Interstate 85 when he noticed what looked like a wreck.
When he pulled over, he saw a man who had been shot in the arm standing outside a car. He saw another man suffering from a gunshot wound inside the car.
The man inside the car, Darius Chapman, 33, died at the scene, MEDIC said.
The 3600 block of Brookshire Boulevard was shut down during the investigation.
