CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Famed musicians Nat King Cole and Louis Armstrong played at the Excelsior Club in west Charlotte.
The historic black club is expected to reopen this year.
North Carolina Rep. Carla Cunningham said she is renovating the club and wants to open is doors within six months.
