CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were looking for the person who they said shot a man during an attempted robbery overnight in west Charlotte.
Officers told Channel 9 that the victim was shot in the leg just before midnight along Rozelles Ferry Road, near Lakewood Avenue.
Investigators said the victim was walking on Rozelles Ferry when he was approached by a man with a gun who demanded money before shooting him in the thigh.
Police said the victim will be OK and that they are still searching for the shooter.
