HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Firefighters worked to put out a tractor-trailer on fire on Interstate 77 in Huntersville, officials said.
Firefighters responded to the scene around 9:30 p.m. near Mt. Holly-Huntersville on I-77 south.
Firefighters said they got the flames under control, but the general-purpose lanes remain closed until midnight, while crews clean up the scene.
Officials have not said if anyone was hurt in the fire.

Long Creek Fire and Huntersville Fire responded to the scene.
