HARRISBURG, N.C. — Firefighters in Harrisburg were busy for hours Sunday morning, trying to extinguish a large mulch fire.

The fire started around 9:30 a.m. at the Tarheel Bark Company on Rocky River Road.

Crews had to deal with high winds as they worked to put out the fire, and even used bulldozers to help with the efforts.

People living as far as four miles away saw smoke from the fire.
There was no word yet on how the fire started but fire crews were able to get I completely extinguished before noon.
