HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Emergency crews responded to a crash Tuesday afternoon involving two school buses in Huntersville.

Police said the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools buses from Bailey Middle School were involved in the crash.

One student was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. Eight other students were treated for injuries on the scene, paramedics said.
There were 50 kids involved in the crash, 25 on each bus, a Huntersville fire official told Channel 9.
The crash happened at Caldwell Station at Old Statesville Road.
