CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have received another report about a drone, this time over the middle of uptown.
Authorities said a man was flying a drone over a crowd of 300 people at the Epicentre during a concert Friday night.

He was also flying in restricted airspace and had not coordinated with Charlotte Douglas Air Traffic Control.
Officers found him behind the stage in a space for employees only. They said he told them he was flying it for fun and landed it when he was told to land it.
Channel 9 has reported on several drone sightings in Charlotte over the last few weeks.
